I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped, but I do have a fair amount of the strips cut for my memory quilt. I also put together one block and cut all of the foundation pieces. Below is a picture of the one block and the bags of clothing that I'm using for this quilt. This is the fourth quilt from this clothing and even though it looks like there is a lot, there isn't. I've kept all of the scraps from the previous three quilts and it's getting to be a chore to get fairly good size pieces. This is probably going to be the last full size quilt I can make from these clothes and that is kind of sad because I think that the lady who has been requesting these would like to get a couple more. After I'm done with this one, I'll spend some time separating the pieces and give her some options for future projects.

Stash Report - Week 24
I've been working on a memory quilt this past week. I've decided that this quilt is going to be made similar to a Heart Strings quilt and that means I have LOT of strips to cut. There are only a few logos, designs, etc. that need included in this quilt and I think I have figured out how to include them. Because I've been working in this quilt, I didn't use any stash this week, but the good news is that I only added 3/4 yard to my stash this week. (A couple of guild members brought fabric from their mom and I took a little of that.) YEAH!
I hope to get my foundation fabric ready and cut today and start sewing blocks so I have something on my design wall for tomorrow. Besides, it would be nice to have something to report next week! :-)
I have orders for three more memory quilts and another T-shirt quilt so it looks like I'll be spending a lot of my quilting time on those. I do plan to throw in a couple of my own projects, just to break up the monotony though.
Here's the report:
Fabric Used This Week: 0.00 yards
Fabric Used to Date: 174.375 yards
Fabric Added This Week: .75 yards
Fabric Added to Date: 92.25 yards
Net Fabric Used for 2010: 82.125 yards

Stash Report - Week 23
I didn't complete all four Patriotic Rail Fence quilts that I wanted to. :-( Two tops are done and the other two are ready to piece.
In my defense, I had a couple of embroidery orders and two more memory quilts. Also on Wednesday I decided to make graduation quilts for two of Jack's grandkids and the party for them was Saturday. I knew I had to use a quick and easy pattern and since I was in the Rail Fence mode that's what I did. I used colors for the colleges that they will be attending (Maggie - Slippery Rock and Ian - Philadelphia University). I don't have pictures because I forgot to take one before I wrapped them, and the kids hadn't opened gifts when we had to leave the party. I've been promised pictures, so I'll post them later.
Here's the report:
Fabric Used This Week: 22.50 yards
Fabric Used to Date: 174.375 yards
Fabric Added This Week: 12.0 yards
Fabric Added to Date: 91.5 yards
Net Fabric Used for 2010: 82.875 yards
