Design Wall Monday

I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped, but I do have a fair amount of the strips cut for my memory quilt. I also put together one block and cut all of the foundation pieces. Below is a picture of the one block and the bags of clothing that I'm using for this quilt. This is the fourth quilt from this clothing and even though it looks like there is a lot, there isn't. I've kept all of the scraps from the previous three quilts and it's getting to be a chore to get fairly good size pieces. This is probably going to be the last full size quilt I can make from these clothes and that is kind of sad because I think that the lady who has been requesting these would like to get a couple more. After I'm done with this one, I'll spend some time separating the pieces and give her some options for future projects.

Check out what other quilters have on their design walls by going to Judy L.'s blog.

Ah, but all those who get a quilt will be wrapped in memories.

So much in those memory quilts. It takes alot for a quilter to make them too. I don't know if I could do it because it is happy and sad at the same time. I love the string block and I need to make some this week for fun!
