February - 2019 Color Challenge

To play along, go to Jen's blog for the block pattern and instructions.

You won't be disappointed!

February - Pink Carnation - Pink

According to many sources, it is believed that pink carnations first sprouted after having been watered by the tears of the Virgin Mary as she wept during the crucifixion of Jesus. Because of that, pink carnations have come to symbolize fondness, tenderness, and the undying love of a mother. As a bonus, carnations (red, not pink) are the state flower of Ohio, which is where I live. 😊

Here are my fabrics - a light pink solid from my stash and a fat quarter of pink Starlet from Blank Quilting

This is a pretty easy block, although many people struggle to get a perfect center intersection. Be sure to go to Jen's blog and follow her instructions.

Here are the units, ready to be made into a block!

The completed block!

As I stated last month, I'm making a second block each month.

It's hard to see the difference when you look at the blocks separately, but you can see it when they are next to each other.

Check out other bloggers who made blocks this month. Be sure to come back next month to see what we create. :-)
