This bra was simply adorable and had a lot of people chuckling. I was happy when it was purchased by a bakery to be displayed in the shop. 

This bra is beautiful and could easily be the top of a gorgeous dress!

I love any bra that has to do with baseball and the fact that is it red, white and blue and has lots of stars makes it even more fun.

This beautiful bra was a prize winner and was beautiful.

This bra sure had a lot of people laughing. It lit up and was wonderful. Now I'm thirsty.  :-)

I love this bra. It is simple, but fun.

The idea for this bra came to the designer during a meeting where popcorn was being consumed. You should have heard the ideas flying that night. :-)

This bra is beautiful and once again, I am lucky t have spoken with the designer and learned the back story. This was not for sale as it was going to be given to a woman who is fighting breast cancer.

Here's another winning bra. This group, Angels in the Outfield have made bras every year that we've had the event and their creations NEVER disappoint. 

I am proud to be involved in this event and thank everyone who participates, whether it's by creating a bra, buying one of the entries, or voting for the winners. We CAN make a difference! 

Bras for a Cause Pictures Part I

I'm still trying to play catch up from the last couple of weeks. Between subbing, Bras for a Cause/Girls' Night Out, and Thanksgiving, blogging took a back seat and was pretty much ignored. :-(  

So, here's my apology for no Design Wall Monday or Tip Tuesday! this week. Part I of the Bras for a Cause pictures. I will post the balance of the pictures later tonight or tomorrow.

There are some really talented and creative people. All of the bras turned out great and we had a very successful event. As a matter of fact, preliminary figures show that $50,000+ was raised that night. AWESOME!!

This bra is absolutely beautiful and I'm positive that it took a long time to make. The picture does not do it justice!

Gee, can you guess why I was attracted to this entry? I was the silent auction winner of this entry. YEAH!

This bra sure had a lot of attention. It's challenging to really see it since it is navy blue on a black background. Trust me, it was really well made and looked great.

I really love how this one turned out. It makes me want a beer!

Nothing like a gentle reminder that Christmas is just around the corner and I have yet to do most of my shopping.

This bra was really cool and garnered a bunch of attention and conversation.

Bras for a Cause

Every year for the past five years, I have been involved in organizing our local 

Girls' Night Out Bras for a Cause. 

Although it's a lot of work, it is so worth it and it helps so many people!

Even though many of you do not live any where near me (north central Ohio), you are welcome to send in an entry or two and earn a chance to win. 

The VIP Winner will receive $500, while the next two winners will receive $200 and $100 respectively. 

You do not need to be present to win and we will send you a check.

Do you have any idea how much fabric you could buy with $500?!?

Extra Hour?

Can anyone tell me what happened to that hour we gained last night? I seem to have lost it and I'd really like it back!! I've been busy today, but unfortunately don't think I will succeed in getting everything done that I had hoped. I guess I miscalculated how much I could achieve with that extra hour.  :-(

Check out our Bras for a Cause display at the Sandusky Mall. The bras will remain on display until Tuesday, November 13th when we take them to put up at the Girls' Night Out venue.  We will be at the mall Friday night and all day Saturday (11/9 - 11/10) accepting early votes.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well, I made it! I blogged everyday for the entire month of October. Whew!

It looked like I wasn't going to get a chance to continue my daily blogging because I've been extremely busy today, having left the house early and returning quite late. Well, have no fear, I'm getting this post in before midnight.  :-)  Ooops, I missed it. This posted right at midnight. I guess I shouldn't have made a trip to the bathroom before hitting the publish key. 

What was I doing all day, you ask? Well, I had to take down the bra display from the mall and put it up at Kalahari for tomorrow evening's Girls' Night Out/Bras for a Cause. Of course there was a little glitch with scheduling so I helped in other areas before I could start to put up my display. Here's a sneak peak at the display. It's not quite done, but I'm sure you get the picture.

Besides the Bras for a Cause voting and silent auction, there are lots of raffles (50/50, jewelry, furniture, special dinners, etc.), great food, wonderful entertainment, the pink balloon explosion (money inside of balloons), Deal or No Deal, Minute to Win It, a huge silent auction of amzing items, Woman of the Year, and the Hog for the Cause. (Check that out below.) This event is jammed packed with fun stuff!
